Too Good For Gronk

Kelsey Lynch is so much more than what you find when you google her name. This girl does not let herself be defined by an article on Barstool. So, I would like to take some time to introduce the very talented photographer behind Manolos on Mass Ave and one of my best friends! Kelsey is also a freshman at Emmanuel and planning on majoring in graphic design. She is extremely talented and creative when it comes to art(the spray painted stencil of Marilyn Monroe she just whipped out is worthy of a frame, let me tell you). Because Kelsey attended a different elementary school than me and Thayer Academy, we went our entire childhood living in the same town but never crossing paths. It was not until our freshman orientation at Emmanuel College that we discovered our common bond. Ever since, we have been inseparable and gotten ourselves into some pretty crazy situations. A riot at an Odd Future and Kid Cudi concert, less than gracefully riding Hubway bicycles around Fenway, acquiring a gigantic Harvard flag even though we don’t go to Harvard, and running down Yawkey Way with the rest of Boston when the Red Sox won the World Series are just a few adventures we have shared.

Kelsey’s style is very unique and can only be pulled off by a select few, aka Kendall Jenner and Kelsey Lynch. She channels a strong Californian vibe and a lot of black. Though she hates to admit it, she gets a lot of outfit ideas from the Jenner girls. Kelsey’s ensemble is also heavily influenced by Cara Delevingne. She and the British model are both very daring and know how to make even the simplest outfit fabulously unattainable by anyone else. Kelsey likes that Cara Delevingne wears “whatever she wants, even if it is so random and it always looks awesome”. Often times you can catch Kelsey on Newbury Street grazing through flannels at Brandy Melville or popping into vintage shops. Lastly, Kelsey admires Nicole and Sophia Richie’s wardrobes. How lucky am I to have such a confident and stylish partner in all of this? I already feel successful knowing Kels will be taking the pictures for Manolos on Mass Ave!

When we started this Kelsey assured me it would be a good thing because in her words, “there’s nothing more important than doing what you love”. To say I agree would be an understatement. And what’s better than doing what you love with great friends who you love? That’s why I want to urge everyone to cherish their friendships and most importantly, don’t let those friendships be boring!

XO
